Recipe: Red lentil dhal with spinach

Preparation: 40 min

Ingredients: for 4 people

  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of pickled ginger
  • 200g red lentils
  • 1.25l of water
  • 100g spinach
  • salt pepper

Preperation :

  • in a saucepan brown the spices, shallots, garlic and ginger
  • add the lentils and water and simmer for 30 min, stirring regularly, until the lentils are tender
  • add the spinach and cook for a few minutes then salt and pepper
